Antigua Guatemala Wedding
Jennifer and Pablo celebrated their wedding in Antigua, Guatemala at the beautiful Convento de las Capuchinas. Friends and family from around the world gathered in Pablo’s home country to see the two wed among the beauty of one of the greatest convents in Guatemala, consecrated in 1736. The grand architecture of the 18th-century structure was the perfect place to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony in Antigua and to pay respect to the country’s history. And as destination wedding photographers, Guatemala has been one of our favorite places to photograph.
A destination wedding can be incredibly rewarding for your friends and family. With proper planning, the wedding can be a perfect segue into a vacation with friends and families. Jennifer and Pablo helped their guests feel at home in Guatemala by providing them with insight and encouragement to explore the surrounding cuisine, sights and local atmosphere while in the country.
For many guests traveling for the destination wedding in Guatemala, Jennifer and Pablo went above and beyond to provide detailed information such as local lodging, safe neighborhoods to visit, and a list of local attractions to explore. From hiking a volcano to their favorite restaurants throughout Antigua, a general breakdown of an area was a wonderful resource for visitors. Creating itineraries for the days leading up to the wedding day, as well as a timeline for the wedding day, was incredibly helpful to many guests from out of town.
From their wedding in the gardens of the Convento de las Capuchinas their wedding headed to the inner open-air courtyard which was beautifully lit with colorful lighting to accentuate the architecture. Dinner and the first dance led to a night of laughter and dancing to music from a live DJ under the stars.
